2:24 am - Wall, wall, wal, wa, w
All work and no play, makes me bang head against wall, and not speak good…

I’ve been doing nothing but reading and doing paperwork all freaking day, from 8am to Midnight! I had to stop and take a breather. I cranked out a sketch real fast after I hit a wall with my books. You can see it here along with what people think of it.

http://yerf.com/forums/ikonboard.cgi?s=8f108702210ff3491e4110f507bcaee6;act=ST;f=6;t=7210;st=0;r=1;&

I have to barricade myself from my friends unfortunately until I have finished my CFII practical test. This is because I get fired if I don’t pass on the first try, so I’m taking every precaution. You wouldn’t believe all the stress crap you have to deal with in my job. I just have to block out any consequences or I wouldn’t be able to handle it very long. And in all honesty, I have to sit in protest on some of their policies because I think the extreme stress leads to an unsafe environment. Alas, we all have problems with the companies we work for, so I guess I can’t complain too much.

I’m going to need one hell of a party when all of this is over.

12:47 am - Changes
Good news,

UNR had some drawing and photography classes that I can take for the six months that I’ll be gone after April. Best of all, I’ve got a ten thousand dollar scholarship that I can use there, so it won’t cost a thing. After that, I’ll decide if I’d like to continue with night classes at UCF.

I bet some of you are saying what the crap! I thought that he worked for DCA.

I’m going to get a break for about six months after April. I figure why not learn something else that interests me? I also may have a chance to do some flying for the State of Nevada, and if that falls through I can always teach.

On the way to Nevada I plan to make stops at NARFA, Tulsa, The Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas.

7:18 pm - C is for Cookie!
I’ve made the most awesome cookies evar! Well maybe they’re not really cookies:P
What I did was that I placed about fifteen coffee beans in a circle on a plate. Then I covered them in that magic chocolate shell stuff (you know, the kind that gets hard when cooled). After that I placed them in the freezer for 15min. All I have to say is that they’re great for studying!

Also, I’ve figured out how to pay off all of my debts aside from the truck and condo by the end of February. There will have to be less of the having fun stuff, but it’s for the better.

1:20 am - Puppeteer
Thanks to Give Kids the World (http://www.gktw.org/) and Kuddlepup (http://www.kuddlepup.org/) for letting me help out with their puppet show. I had tons of fun getting a rise out of the kids, and I think that I’ll be back as soon as I have the time.

But oh boy, do you have any idea how heavy a moose puppet gets after an hour?

I think that I went a little overboard on my car audio. I took a regular cab 2001 ranger and added 100X4RMS going to separates and two 6X8 (both infinity perfects). Then I added a bazooka sub in the NOS enclosure being powered by a 500RMS mono amplifier. When I turned it up my headlights dimmed with the music so I had to add a capacitor.

Don’t you hate it when someone asks you of your opinion, but you know they don’t what you to tell them the truth?

These people seem only interested in getting me to back up their self-disillusions.

They’ll ask something like, “I don’t understand why no one will hire me.” Then I’ll have to answer with something like, “I’m not sure, maybe you’re looking in the wrong place.” While at that moment I can spout off at least ten reasons why I wouldn’t trust you to walk my dog.

I have some advise to everyone out there who me or anyone else in the future with these types of questions.

-One, if you’re asking something like this the chances are (if you’re at all intelligent) that you know the answer already.
-Two, unless you’ve established a good relationship with the person you’re asking, they will not tell you the truth.
-Three, you may need to start taking on some responsibility for yourself, that might be the root of most of your trouble.

Who knows, maybe I’m wrong? What’s your opinion? (JUST KIDDING)

11:07 am - Crash into me...
Sorry to everyone that I was supposed to meet at Hard Rock last night. As you may have heard I was in only blocks away from Mach’s place when it happened. I was beginning to stop for traffic near Conroy and Kirkman when I felt a bump; nothing hard. Then as I worked on brining the resulting slide to a stop I noticed that the ass end of my truck was in the air; “well that’s kind of odd I thought,” so I pulled off on the grass. I put on my hazard lights and got out of the truck to see what happened. Umm yeah, the reason the ass end of my truck was in the air was because there was an eclipse spider under it, up to ¾ of the hood really. The hood of the eclipse didn’t even come near the height of my bumper, so it had wedged up under my spare tire. There was significant damage done to the front end of her car but I couldn’t even find a mark on mine. Next I found out that the eclipse was hit from behind as well by an Escort, but as to which had hit first I have no idea.

I chatted with the woman that had hit me for the good thirty minutes that we had to wait for the good old Orlando Police. Once there the officer took everyone’s information and typed up a report. Upon his return he talked to me first, and explained that I was at no fault for the accident; yeah I know that. After he talked to me he tore into the other drivers, talking about reckless driving and such. He kept bullying the two women who I really did feel sorry for. I almost wanted to step in and say that it could happen to anyone on a rainy night like this, but it wasn’t my place.

After that mess was worked out I was already more than an hour late for the show, so I called up KP to see if he wanted to see “Big Fish.” The movie was excellent, it was told with a witty southern charm, and it held my interest without much action going on just because I was that well written. It also was based on what I think is the most important thing in life which is being able to live on through the memories you’ve given to others. I suggest that you go see “Big Fish” while you can because you won’t see anything like it coming from Hollywood again for about fifty years.

Just a random thought brought up by a reality TV marriage show?

I was wondering what kind of logic calls a marriage set together by a producer and audience proper. While at the same time saying that a gay marriage; a marriage between two people who love each other, a travesty under God?

The only reason that I can find why one is okay and the other is not has to do with political power. If you allow gays to marry, then they will have a better financial footing, and that means they will have more political clout.

What do you think?

Of all the places to get stuck, I got stuck in freaking Utah!

I’m not feeling very good, I’ve been up since 5am EST, I’m upset, and most of all…
THERE’S NO SCOTCH!

If I was feeling better I’d go rent a plane and be in Reno in 2-3hrs, but in my condition I’d end up eating the side of a mountain.

I’m going to go find an outlet and play Warcraft III:-

Sup my Peeps!

that I might as well make a journal entry while I was waiting at the terminal for my flight to Lake Tahoe. I got my wireless internet working again and it’s been a life saver I figured today because I’m and employee of Delta and not a customer, so I have to fly standby; lots of waiting but it’ll be worth it! I talked to my mother just a little while ago and she was so happy to hear that I’d be able to see her for Christmas. She said that she was so worried that I wouldn’t make it.

It’s been interesting to watch everyone during their travels. I’ve found that I can fit most of them into three categories; “I’ve got to get there and screw everyone else”, “I’ll get there sometime”, and “I’m not sure if I really want to go.”

Well the planes is here now so I’ve got go, my next stop is Salt Lake. City.

Best wishes to everyone for the holidays!

Fuzzy cell phone camera fun?

I was giving a lesson briefing on how instruments work in an airplane, and luck would have it, the academy director walked in on my unique teaching methods. Lucky for you Patty snapped these fuzzy photos of the moment. I was using balloons (which were kind of falic) to demonstrate how the ASI, ALT, and VSI work. I also had an AOL CD wired to the end of my dremel tool to show how the gyro in the attitude, DG, and turn coordinator works. To make things a bit more odd I had my tie around my head and my lab goggles on.

Some people may question my methods but every second of my lecture is listened to, and the director was almost on the floor laughing.

Yay for being the black sheep

Yay, Spinning Death Fun!

I got to do aerobatics over Daytona Beach today. I really enjoyed seeing the Atlantic, the sky, and East Florida spinning outside the windscreen.

During the maneuvers we stuck an Ozzy plush on top of the radio stack, so Ozzy was flying around the cockpit. Later we got board so we tried to see who could make him stand up on the ceiling the longest.

In all, aerobatics kicks the ass out of any other extreme sport that I've tried, and roller coasters seem kind of lame now.

Watered Down Service

Since when did I become a bagger for Walmart! The last time I checked a certain airline owned my ass and I liked it that way. I didn't spend the last four years educating myself to throw crap in a cart. But no, I go to Walmart because it was close, then have to sit behind some bitch with fourteen children who will be suckled off of my taxes while I'm in line. And to top it off, after I pay for all my stuff I have to be the god damn bagger! That pisses me off! You know Walmart, every time I have to work for you after I pay for my shit I'm going to put down a little checkmark in my yuppy-ass PDA, and for every one of those checks I'm going to make sure I lighten my fuel load over your store!

What's next Sam Walton? The next time I come into one of your stores to buy a gallon of milk am I going to have to stock it as well?

Lick me Sam :)

Esse Quam Videri

What's this Sean, are you writing in Greek now?

It doesn't really matter what language it's said in. All that matters is what it means. To be, rather than to appear. Show yourself rather than an imposter. In life we all put up so many walls that makes The Great Wall of China look like a line drawn in the sand. I think we have stayed home sick hiding from that math test so many times we don't know what we're capable of doing. You see, throughout our lives we cover up something that we're afraid of by compensating for it with something else. Say Bill here finds that drinking from a girlfriends beauty (having sex with her for the non-poets out there) makes him feel like more of a man. She all of a sudden becomes his universe because she is the only thing in Bill's mind that makes him a man. Bill then marries her because he wants security, he wants to know he can always feel like a man. What does the poor woman get out of this? Bill hasn't offered her anything. She thinks that he already has a right hand so why should she become another one, so they divorce. She was Bill's sick day and he was never a man.

I'm also stuck in a ditch covered up with all my compensations; warm and cozy, but fake and unsatisfied. I might know my name as a word but I cannot say it with conviction. I want to call myself a man but I've covered up the path with so much material things, sex, and success that I can't see the way. I'd like to take off this fig leaf, bare my wounds with everything that hurts me, and finally feel the sun hit my soul again like it did when I was a little boy.

You know after writing this I see some potential for lyrics. Maybe I'll do some work on this on the weekend.

Well I have good news, Delta Connection went to bat for me so now I'll be able to finish my training. I have money as well so I can pay rent, buy some milk, and get some sleep. Although I guess that I'll miss out on some snowboarding back at Tahoe.

The Hard Knocks of Life

*The shit is being pulled back in the slingshot and is being aimed at the fan*
Will I get splattered in the face? It looks like it's a 50/50 chance.

Unfortunately the financial situation in my student account has been reduced to a dire situation. Normally I would simply apply for more money to get me through CFII and MEI next semester, however whether private loan to do so is kind of up in the air. So there are two things that can happen from this point; the loan goes through and I finish all my training and go to work for the airline, or I have to pack up all my things this next week and move back to Nevada (about 2500 miles).

The reason why the loan may not go through in the first place is because I've been a student since April (thus not working), and my dad (the co-signer) only makes 36,000 gross annually. I'm reminded of the saying, all men are created equal. It's a romantic thought but I'm reminded now of how false it really is. I may have been born with the brains, but not the money I need to put the paper on the wall that proves I have those brains. So don't waist yourself if you're fortunate enough have the money for higher education; I don't think there's anything that would frustrate me more at the moment.

To tell you the truth, at this moment I really don't care what the answer is when I talk to the bank next afternoon. I can make the best out of either situation, if I get dealt a bad card I'll just have to work longer to get into my career.
